So far the trip computer claims a 21 MPG average, but this will be my first full tank of fuel.
To be more accurate, Meow has a big bladder.
Bonus: It stays in Dynamic (sporty) Mode. Even after shutting off and restarting. WIN!!!

I love it. Well, minus the fuel consumption. Thank goodness it isn’t an R model!

That is cheap fuel.

Does this replace the Ferrari or supplement the fleet?

Silver isn’t my favorite exterior color, but that two-tone interior is awesome.

For now, the latter. It replaces my old DD.

Silver was a favourite because it blends into the sea of beige at work.
But the rare interior wood trim option on this car caught my eye.

Mmm Shell V-Power. My car only drinks this RedBull+KaleTrumericRawJuice equivalent of gasoline. Also mainly because I have ahem “Gold Status” and get 5c off a gallon.

Beats the about 14 I get in my 1985 Series III XJ6

I don’t believe I can maintain 21 MPG. That was biased by a weekend road trip with lighter traffic, quite the opposite of my parking-speed commute.

We’d need to convert the units to post-19th century ones first though, before we could understand what’s going on.
18.44 gallons US = 69.8 liters.
$62.60 = €50.81.
So €0.728 a liter. Yes, that’s very cheap. I believe it’s about €1.31 a liter here, so roughly 80% more expensive.

My 2011 legacy GT gets the same mileage, and it is smaller, lighter, and makes less power. Was this highway, city, or a mix? It really doesn’t seem too bad at all.

I’m going to find out with this new tank of gas but I suspect it was biased to highway, reading 22 mpg averaged over an unknown period of time.
Rating is 18/27/21 mpg.

Thanks. Yeah, I definitely do not need another gas guzzler in the stable! Fortunately the Accord, which this replaced, did not get spectacular fuel economy either. 23-24 MPG average on a 2.4L NA motor. Not a huge step up in fuel costs, but then again the Accord didn’t need 91 octane either.
